Nicole T.C. Marques is a proven litigator and currently serves as Supervising Attorney at Brown Chiari LLP. In this role, she oversees litigation operations with a focus on workflow efficiency, client service, professionalism, and firm-wide delivery of high-quality advocacy and results.
For more than a decade, Nicole has dedicated her practice to representing individuals and families impacted by catastrophic personal injuries, medical malpractice, nursing home negligence, wrongful death, and institutional abuse. She brings a thoughtful, clear approach to guiding clients through some of the most emotionally difficult moments of their lives—ensuring they feel informed and supported throughout the legal process. Before rejoining Brown Chiari in 2024, Nicole served as lead attorney at a national law firm representing survivors of sexual abuse. There, she led a litigation team and managed a high-volume, emotionally complex caseload—work that demanded both legal precision and deep compassion.
From 2014 to 2021, she built a strong foundation in plaintiff-side advocacy at Brown Chiari, where her work spanned litigation strategy, motion practice, pretrial resolution, appellate advocacy, and client counseling. Her attention to detail and consistent commitment to her clients have contributed to successful outcomes across a wide range of matters.
Nicole earned her Juris Doctor from the University of San Diego School of Law, where she served as Lead Articles Editor of the International Law Journal and received honors in international negotiation and trial advocacy. Prior to law school, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Comparative Literature from Princeton University. Nicole is fluent in Portuguese, a skill developed during her time living in Brazil. She is admitted to practice throughout New York State, including the United States District Court for the Western District of New York, and is an associate member of the Virginia State Bar.
