James M. Mucklewee, Esq.
Following his completion of a two-year appointment as a Confidential Law Assistant to the New York Supreme Court, Appellate Division, Fourth Department, which he received upon graduation from the State University of Buffalo School of Law, Mr. Mucklewee has been trying cases successfully throughout the State of New York for over 35 years.
With his practice focused on the representation of people who have been seriously injured as a result of medical malpractice, defective products, nursing home negligence, premises liability and automobile negligence, Jim has achieved numerous million and multi-million dollar recoveries on behalf of the firm’s clients, including the largest verdict ever recorded in a medical malpractice case in Allegany County.
Jim is Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, which is an organization where membership is by invitation only and is limited to no more than one percent of the lawyers in each state. In addition, he has received an AV Preeminent Peer Review Rating from Martindale-Hubbell, which is the highest possible rating in legal ability and professional ethics. Jim is also listed in Best Lawyers of America, as well as in the Super Lawyers directory, in the category of personal injury – medical malpractice, and he is included among those who have been listed in the Buffalo Business First “Who’s Who in Law.”
Jim is also a Charter Member of the Buffalo Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates, as well as a member of the American Association for Justice, the New York State Trial Lawyers Association, and the American, New York State, and Erie County Bar Associations. He is admitted to practice law in both New York and Pennsylvania, and he has been a presenter at numerous continuing education programs where he has lectured on topics related to trial practice.
